I stayed at the Madelia Hotel & Suites (the name has changed from AmericInn) for two nights. The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. The exercise room had a treadmill and bike-no tv in the room but the pool was perfect for an evening lap swim and the jacuzzi was ok. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it has everything you need, is clean and is less expensive than other area hotels.

The hotel staff was friendly and greeted us each time we walked through the lobby. The hotel seemed to have only a few other travelers, so it was actually nice and quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel as it has everything you need, is clean and is less expensive than other area hotels.

We were caught in a snow storm. Arrived in at 8pm and the desk clerk was friendly and helpful.
The room was in great shape, no smoke smell. We had our dog with us and they were more than happy to accommodate.
Breakfast area was clean and usable.
This Americinn is 100 times better than the Americinn in Hutchinson, MN, where we're from.

My wife and 5-yr old stayed at the AmericInn last weekend and it was very nice. It is a new hotel and everything was very clean and looked great. Our room was very comfortable. The television was large and worked well. It was very quiet. The hotel really stood out, however, because of the staff. All of the staff were extremely professional, considerate and friendly. My wife and I had several long conversations with each. Madelia is a very pretty and peaceful small town this is doing surprisingly well economically. If you want to escape from city stresses and visit small town America, replete with sidewalks and tree-lined streets (without speeding, agressive drivers) this is the place to go.
