My wife and I spent a week at Fenske Lake Cabins.
Fenske Lake Cabins truly captures the beauty and serenity of the North Woods. With our own dock, motorboat, and canoe on a pristine northern lake, we truly felt like we fitted into the Northern scene. The fishing was good too.
Our cabin, nestled among rocks and trees, had a splendid view of the lake and was remote enough so that we were not aware of our neighbors. The cabin was well outfitted and comfortable.
Our hosts were gracious and accommodating. The main lodge had all the modern communications media but we did not much care about what was going on in the world outside our little paradise.

We made our first trip to this resort in August of 2008 - and we loved it so much we immediately booked again for this August and can't wait to return in just two weeks! The Eilrichs are a wonderful family who make you feel welcome and are so very accommodating. They have a beautiful, extremely well kept small resort in a quiet northwoods setting right on the edge of the water. We stayed in the Point Cabin which had just been redone - it was perfect! We truly ejoyed the screened porch where we could sit and have a direct view of the lake. In fact, we think we had the best cabin. The sunsets were absolutely amazing from our dock. Don't just take my word for it - you definitely should check this resort out for yourself - you will be hooked, just like we are! The cabins are private and immaculate. The lodge is beautiful and well-stocked - can't wait to return!

We have been enjoying Fenske Lake cabins almost every year for the past 10 years. Our favorite cabin is the Spruce. It was recently remodeled and much as we enjoyed "roughing it" prior, I have to admit we quickly became accustomed to the newest ammenities. We always arrive to find the cabins very clean!
We enjoy the loon calls, feeding the fish off the dock, the sound of waves on the shore and always enjoy daily walks with Chase, Kalyssa and Courtney as they share turns in walking our Golden Retreiver.
There are hiking trails near by, blueberry picking, you may canoe and portage to a few lakes right from your dock, and Ely is a very fun town to spend a little time in.
Chris and Laurie are great hosts, giving any attention you may need or letting you just lay back and enjoy your time.
As we say our goodbyes each year, we book for the next year.

Awesome resort--cabins are very clean and well spaced from each other. Wonderful, peaceful setting with awesome sunrise and sunset views from your own private dock. We enjoyed cappuccino every morning in our screen porch or on the dock. Had fun feeding the fish bread off the dock, enjoyed hiking around the area, swimming, etc. Lodge has games, supplies, whatever you might need available. Hosts are very friendly and accommodating to your needs. Cabins are well kept, rustic, a very nice get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the North resort.
