We have been going to Timberwolf Lodge for over 5 years.
The owner Doug and all the staff are great and so friendly. From our very first visit they made us feel like we were part of a family. They can recommend places to eat and things to do around the Ely area.
The Sunday night ice cream socials are nice.
We keep saying we'll make it there one year for the pig roast on the 4th of July.
Son loved the "water airplane" rides.
There are many repeat guests there and it's great catching up with old friends once again.
The lodge ft. porch has rockers where folks can sit and chat.
You can go canoeing, paddle boat, and of course fish!
Even nature hikes.
Each cabin has a journal where you can write about your stay. It is nice to read all the entries and you get a feel for how it is up there during other seasons.
At night someone from the lodge stops by to see if you need anything for the cabin or firewood.
The views are wonderful and the cabins are spaced nicely apart from each other where you have your privacy but still close enough to wander over and visit with your neighbors.
We even got to see the northern lights one night!! Doug noticed them and went to the cabins letting the folks know about it. Which I thought was a very nice touch.
We always come back home from our 2 week vacation there relaxed, refreshed and counting the days until we return again!
