“Quick Night Near The Office”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 January 2011

I live about an hour away from my office and given some nasty project deadlines, I spent one quick night here vs. driving home. Given it was the holiday week, rates were very low but I still had that quality Hampton experience. I needed sleep and breakfast and got that. The hotel is on the older side. The bathrooms are very small and the room had the feel that they never intended to put a large king size Hampton bed in it. The closet sticks out a bit which blocks the view from the desk to the TV (something that as a business traveler has become a bad habit for me).

The breakfast was as expected and despite the age, I felt the hotel was clean. It certainly met my needs for this short night and if presented with the same working scenario, I'd stay here again. If I were a business traveler coming to the Eden Prairie or Bloomington area, I'd probably defer to the new HIlton in Bloomington.

“Okay - worth the money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2010

The hotel was pretty decent for the awesome price! Great mexican restaurant nearby & some retail shopping too. Really close to the Mall of America - would stay again esp since it slept great and that's the only time I spent in the room.

“Stay in Bloomington, not here”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2010

I was not very happy with this hotel other than the staff being friendly. I can’t even say that the room was clean nice I had a non smoking room that smelled like smoke! It was also in desperate need of updates. The furniture looked like it was from the 1980’s. I can’t say I will stay here again. The Hampton Inn in Bloomington (just a few miles away) is much better.

“All Around Positive Experience"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

After dealing with a nightmare experience up the road in Bloomington with a La Quinta that messed up our reservation, we madly scrambled to find another place to stay. What we found was this Hampton Inn, and our experience here was what a travel experience should be.

We were a last-minute reservation, but the front desk staff was helpful and ready for us. It took about five minutes to check in to our room, which was clean and nicely updated. The beds were comfortable and well-stocked with pillows, and the bathroom was well-stocked with towels. The breakfast was very good, and the staff was constantly replenishing the food as it ran out.

“Clean, quiet, soft pillows, about 25 mins driving from Minneapolis center, why not”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2010

The receptionists I've encountered was friendly. The hotel isn't near any attractions that I have gone to (MOA, St. Paul, Minneapolis City Center) but it's not bad at all if you have a vehicle. There was always fresh towels and bed made. They had breakfast until 9 or 10 AM, wish I was awake for it, but a friend always went to it and she had no complaints. Parking is free. Room size is adequate, not too big, not too small. They take skymiles and military discount. If I was to find something negative about this hotel would be a pool, but there are plenty of water parks in the area to go to.
