Our 2 night stay at Whispering Waters could not have been better. It far exceeded our expectations and left us wanting to return and stay twice as long! The accommodations were superb in the spring suite...very clean, tastefully decorated and so comfortable. It is the beauty, as well as the peace and quiet that sets this B & B apart from all the rest. The hospitality was impeccable and our breakfasts were well prepared and delicious. We enjoyed a hike, the hot tub, sitting by the river and fire pit, watching the animals and meeting other guests.

Room tip: The spring suite was perfect for a couple.

We stayed at the B & B for 3 days this summer in the suite. The property is absolutely gorgeous. The effort that went into building this quaint place is amazing. Brian was a wonderful host and provided very healthy breakfasts to get us started on our day. This B & B is not in Traverse City itself but close enough to get their in 5 m-10 minutes. I didn't realize what a plus this was until we saw how incredibly congested this lovely town is during the day. Whispering Waters was our retreat after a day of biking on the excellent bike paths that are in the area - followed by eating dinner at some great restaurants. I really want to come back up here again. They have this really nice large room for groups ( I snuck up there to see it). Good place for a scrapbooking, knitting, quilting, whatever get away for a group.

Room tip: We loved the suite. It had a separate sitting area that looked right out onto the woods with the babbly brook (seriously, it babbled) and a hot tub. There is another stand-alone tiny cabin that looked like a lot of fun, but the bedroom was up a ladder and I was afraid I'd fall at my age.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights for a short vacation. It was a beautiful location - way back in the woods, with a couple of rivers/creeks running through the property. We stayed in the Spring House Suite, and felt it was very private.

Breakfast was wonderful - from french toast, to an egg casserole with cinnamon bread, to blueberry pancakes - it was all tasty, and fresh fruit was always a part of the meal.

We would go into town for dinner - about a 15 minute drive, and come back and relax in the sitting room. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the noise for a bit. The only sounds we heard at night were the sounds of the brook just outside the window.

Sleeping Bear Dunes is around a 45 minute drive from the B&B.

Room tip: The Spring Hill Suite has a sitting room with the brook just outside the window... wonderful!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Whispering Waters. The property is beautiful: meticulous gardens, rushing river, trickling creeks, and lush forest. There's also a horse and an alpaca on property. We stayed in the main house. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and welcoming. We had a beautiful balcony which overlooked the treetops. The entire place is very serene. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. We felt very comfortable and safe during our stay. We hope to return someday!

We enjoyed our stay here very much. We were in the main house, with a king bed, and it was very comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous, and at night the fields light up with fireflies. My husband loves an early morning run and the area was perfect this. Brian, the host, was very accommodating and friendly. Loved the "real" breakfast he prepared each day - scrambled eggs, pancakes, fresh fruit, muffins...we felt right at home. Enjoyed the fact that it was outside town - relaxing!
