The location makes it a "Very Good" rating. We rented the one bedroom suite for the night and it was a very comfortable size for a family of four. The bedroom was huge. The outer room was a living room/dining room/kitchen combo that was also very spacious, and the couch pulled out into a bed. The full-sized refrigerator was nice. The microwave sat on the table (there was no stove), so you couldn't really have a meal at the table.
The pros: Location, location, location (VERY close to the water and town attractions). Roomy. Clean. We loved being that close to the beach and so many other places that we could easily have walked to, if we wanted.
The cons: You have to walk through the bedroom to get to the only bathroom, so if someone is sleeping they are not likely to be doing so for long any time someone needs to use the restroom/shower/vanity.
The drain in the bathtub did not drain, so a shower turned ugly quick. Sand spit from the drain (likely being so close to the beach, a lot of sand gets unwittingly into the drain) and was a bit annoying.
Breakfast was a mess. Tickets were issued but not even checked. I saw staff drop a thick paper-filled book and a stack of papers (which could have made someone fall if they slipped on it, easily) off of the hostess podium and leave it there...then I saw many employees walk over the stack. I even saw one waitress deliberately step over it to get to something she wanted. I finally went and picked it up.
The bar closed VERY early. When you're on the beach and coming in, a drink, or juice for the kids to take to their room would be nice...we had to run to the gas station to get drinks (not far away).
The price seemed way too high for a suite, considering...
The cons seem more plentiful than the pros, but it really wasn't a bad place to stay. It was quiet, clean, and had the perfect location. Would I go back? I am undecided. I might try another location instead, and if that didn't pan out, return to The Boulevard on a subsequent trip.
