This campground and its staff are top notch! They work extremely hard to serve all of their guests, and believe me there are thousands of people here! The park has lots to do for all and yes some things have to be paid for, but NONE are over priced or out of this world. Actually their amusement prices are below any amusement park we have been to the past few years. The restrooms are well kept up and the sites stay nice. Where ever you look you will see a smiling staff member cleaning soemthing,so you know your money spent is going right back into this park. Each year we have been there this park has MAJOR improvements. Our hats off to the owner and Management of this fine facility! Well done Port Huron KOA!

This is the second year my family and I have been to this campground and we will never return. Service is terrible and they definitely do not put the paying customer first.. Prices are way too high for activities. Music at Sawmill City was totally unsuitable for children, i.e. rap and swearing. The place is filthy and there is no place to get clean and stay clean. I realize this is a campground but I have been to campgrounds before and never saw so much filth in the bathrooms, showers, and grounds. We will definitely find another campground next year. Owner is totally ignorant. Speed limit is 5 mph yet the employees race through there amongst the little children with their carts and do not obey the rules. I will report all this to BBB.

This was our first stay at a KOA and we were very surprised at how nice the campground was. Everything is very well maintained (bathrooms,playground equipment, sites, etc.). Another family that joined us stayed in a 1 room cabin and it was well appointed with 1 full bed and a set of bunk beds. The Cabin had both a heater and A/C. We had a site with water & electric and it had lots of grass with a crushed gravel pad to park our pop-up, The campground also provided a kitchen pavilion with kitchen sinks and electric cooktop ranges. The park does have a lot of rules but nothing too extreme in my opinion. We found the staff to be very helpful & friendly. It does have a lot of amenities and there is a charge for everything. We traveled with small children so mainly took advantage of all the playgrounds. The one main negative about this park is that it is located very near the highway and an active train track so there is a lot of noise from traffic at all hours of the day. I cannot comment on the noise of the park in general given that we visited before school was out for the summer and only 20 sites were occupied. Given that they do cater to families this is probably not the place to relax. Overall we enjoyed our experience and would return.

If you have pre-teen or teen age children, this is the place. Plenty to do (for $$ of course). Lots of amentities; the two bedroom cabins, with air, are clean, well laid-out and comfortable. The Kitchen Station is an excellent touch for cooking, serving, and cleanup; all in one spot (and no charcol to burn). Cabins are close together but it helps with starting conversations and friendships with your neighbors.

Issue: The bikes and kids in the road! There is absolutely NO discipline when it comes to the abovementioned items. They own the place; they will not move out of the way, they dart into the road without looking, take up BOTH lanes and refuse to move, leave their bikes in the street (yes, In the street!). Stronger enforcement of the rules (if there are any) regarding bikes and pedestrians is badly needed. More patrols during the day and reinforce the fact that if you see a vehicle...MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!
