This hotel is in a really nice area of Noirmoutier - the Bois de Chaise - near a wonderful beach (the Plage des Dames), but it is a long walk to the centre of the main town. There are only 2 places to eat nearby, both OK but no more. The hotel restaurant is smart but pretty dull. The room was lovely with a great private sun patio/balcony but the room rate at 170 Euros without breakfast was expensive. Breakfast was 12 Euros each. On checking in we were not told anything about the hotel etc and were disappointed on our first morning to find that breakfast service finished at 9.00 - and that as it was now 9.05 we were too late. There are no real breakfast alternatives locally. As the hotel is marketed as a quiet retreat - it is lovely and peaceful - we thought a slightly more relaxed approach to breakfast might have been appropriate.
