We stayed in a Comfort Bungalow for two nights, as a base for seeing Etosha National Park. It is a terrific location. We saw our first giraffes grazing on the trees along the bush road leading to the lodge which was quite exciting. The accommodation is adequate, not first-rate though. The fabrics and animal floor rugs are rather old and tired looking. The room also did not appear to be especially clean. The bathroom probably requires renovation. Even so, it was way better than the accommodation on offer at the Park. Note that although there was a mosquito net over the double bed, the 'sofa' bed provided for our son had no protective covering. The upper level loft/look-out has openings without insect screens. We used plug-in insect repellents whenever in the room.
Meals, which were served at the Lapa and Terrace, were generally very good. You might want to let them know in a advance if you are vegetarian however, as game meats seem to be the main dishes. Our six year old particularly enjoyed the lemon mousse dessert. The waiting and housekeeping staff were hospitable and attentive and we left a generous tip for them. We were particularly grateful that our private laundry was scrupulously washed and pressed and promptly returned.
