The property is very pretty and the room was very well appointed and romantic. As we checked in, we discovered a very talkative host and hostess. As friendly as that was, it was not what we wanted to do. We wanted to go the the room and relax.

The host took us over to our room and asked us to stand in the foyer while he made it "just perfect!" As corny as that was, it was nice.. as he lit candles and turned the fireplace on. When we entered we were impressed and thought the room was beautiful.

The hostess prepared a lovely breakfast..and the host sat and talked to us..and talked, and talked. We were looking for more time to be alone..we certainly did not pay the room rate we did to have breakfast with the owner!

Although this and the room rate were the biggest negatives, we did enjoy our brief stay. The room was romantic and the hot tub provided us with exaclty what we needed for this special time.
I would not go back as I believe we could find similar places at a more reasonable rate without breakfast with the host.

Enjoyed the stay ,even caught a few bass from the pond out side my porch. Dick and Dolly were very helpful with local interesting places to see. Will be back in the fall for the colors.

My partner and I were told we were not welcome at this sanctuary because it is "Christian." How unfortunate that all people are not accepted here. What a disappointment.
