“Fantastic room, polite and efficient stafff. Most enjoyable experience”

We stayed from Saturday through Monday. Our room was very wonderful. It was clean and fresh, the decore was attractive. The two person, in room jacuzzi was perfect. The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. The included breakfast served in the pool room was much better than expected, the food was varied, hot & cold cereal, make your own waffles. eggs, sausage, fresh fruit and juices. It was fresh and replenished often. The area was kept very clean. The pool and hot-tub were clean. We will recommend this hotel to friends and we will stay here again.

“Smelled like cigarette smoke”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 July 2010

We booked a non-smoking room, to find the room smelling of, and the bed reeking of, cigarette smoke. The people at the front desk explained that this was a smoking motel for 30 years and just recently changed to non-smoking. Despite their best efforts, the old "smoking" rooms still smell strongly of cigarettes. If you are at all sensitive to the smell of stale cigarettes, ask for a room that has ALWAYS been non-smoking.

After we went to bed in our new room, there were people outside our window having a talk and a smoke. No problem, they were talking quietly and that didn't bother us. However, the window air conditioner pulled the smoke into the room. Granted, that was a chance encounter, but we had a hard time escaping the smell of cigarettes during our stay.

The front desk staff were helpful ad polite. We skipped the free breakfast because of dietary restrictions.

Our room ended up costing more than we were led to believe upon booking - as a previous reviewer stated, "Beware of hidden fees."

“Great value, great for a family.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 April 2010

Good place for a famly. Has indoor pool and breakfast is included. The window unit is a tad noisy but not terrible. Bed was good but pillows were a bit lacking. For a night or two would be great for anyone.

“Beware of the hidden fees!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 August 2009

Beware of the hidden fees! A $1.50 safe security fee, a $20 deposit fee, and lots of other little extras they do not tell you about when checking in.
While it is not a terrible hotel, I certainly would not recommend it, especially not at $100+/night, it is more like a $39 hotel at best.

“Dissapointed”

This hotel is a nice in-between to stay and visit with my family that lives nearby. We were looking forward to doing our usual "pizza by the pool" and have my two sisters come for a swim with my kids. However, this hotel failed to mention during booking or on their website that they do not allow guests into the pool area (not just the pool itself, the whole common area - nearby tables, pool table, game room, etc.). They supply you with bracelets for the amount of people registered to your room. And they patrol the pool to be sure only those with bracelets are swimming. However, the night we were there, other adults gave their bracelet to visiting children, leaving all children in the pool area with no adult supervision. There were older children pushing, splashing and using fould language. I was VERY disappointed in hotel staff for being so concerned about guests using the pool that they disregarded safety and pleasure of registered guests. Also, keep in mind, my stay was in January - the hotel was not near full occupancy where this bracelet rule might be necessary in other, busier months.

My family will return to the GR area often to stay at hotels and visit with family - maybe 6 times/year. We will never stay at this hotel again. Would much prefer one where we are allowed to enjoy the amenities we're paying extra for.

I would like to apoligize to you for finding the week-end wrist band policy to be a dissatisfaction. We at the hotel are getting very positive feed back from our week-end guest for the wrist band policy. Our paying guests have full access to the pool area and pool and visitors for our guests are allowed to visit in the guests room/lobby area, thus leaving the pool area and pool for the paying guests comfort. We are trying to insure the pool area comfort for our registered guests.
Again I apoligize that your stay was not everything you expected.
We do hope you will try us again.
