My husband, our daughters, and I stayed at Lambert's Cove for 4 nights last August. It was a second visit for my husband and I, and it is a testament to the seductive powers of MV and the hosting prowess & warmth of Scott & Kell and this oasis they have created that not even two cranky teenage girls could ruin it for us! The location combo here of woodsy luxury with gorgeous pool and grounds + pristine pond a short walk thru the woods + grassy sand dune private beach 1 mi away is, to us, a fabulous summer mix. We stayed in the Hamptons suite overlooking the pool—loved the private entrance and deck, where we ate a nice take-out dinner one night, then swam >9:30pm, when the dining room (also overlooking the pool) is closing (pool closes at 6 for the dinner hours). But the girls' pull-out sofa bed space inside the room was too cramped for an 18- & 15-yr-old (next time we'd probably go with St. Simon's suite). Excellent breakfast included, and dinner, while pricey, is worth the experience (we splurged there two nights and skimped the other two nights). Planning our summer now reminded me to write this.
