The decor and appointments of Extended Stay America, Tewksbury are as bland as 'mashed potatoes', but the accomodations are generally clean, the beds comfortable and the 'efficiency kitchens' very practical. The facility is located very close to a busy highway, but, thanks to 'solid' construction and 'quadruple pane' windows, you probably won't hear a sound. We stayed 'twice' over a two-week period, with a 'break' in the middle. Our first room was 'great', but our 'second' looked and smelled 'hard used'. Some of the facility's clients are 'construction workers' who can be a bit 'hard' on a room. (But, they were quiet.) When we complained about the 'problems' with the second room, they moved us to a 'better' room as soon as it was available. If you DO get a room that you don't like, insist on seeing another room. They all have the same decor, but they 'differ' in 'wear and tear'. The 'efficiency kitchen' is very workable, with a full-size fridge, two burner stove and microwave. There's a 'basic' store in the gas station right beside it and a McDonald's right across the street (but you may have to 'run' because of the traffic.) The Cracker Barrel, less than a mile up the road, has good 'home cooking'. Access to 495 is easy, but the access ramp signs are partially hidden by foliage. Familiarize yourself with them before you need to use the ramps. All in all,not a bad place for the price.
