We were scheduled to stay for 6 days but once there extended it to 10! Yes the rooms may be slightly outdated, the shower may be small, and the decks may be slightly aged but for the price ON THE CAPE, ocean front, you can't beat it. The hotel is set way back in a neighborhood and the layout leaves every room with an incredible view of the Sound. The waves lulled me to sleep. Another review mentioned shells. I'm all for walking barefoot with little to no shells but the water was warm and a pair of water shoes takes care of everyhing. The owners and their employees were wonderful, helpful, and friendly. Every morning the beach was raked of seaweed and the windows were washed several days during our stay there! I've only seen this on a cruise. They particularly washed the ocean front windows after a windy night that blew sea water mist on them. There are small charcoal grills that you can borrow so there's no need to spend expensively on food. Yes the fridge is a bigger dorm size but it is definitely workable. They provide dishes, silverware, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, pots and pans, glasses. I've been to Hyatts, Marriotts, and many resorts that overall may be less expensive (in places like to Dominican) and may have more ammenities than Chatham Tides, but this is the Cape, it's generally not a full year business opportunity for any owners so the price is reasonable and not out of touch with other hotels in the area. Can't wait to go back!
