The room was strictly Bates Motel. They'd shoehorned a king bed where it never was intended. Very little room to move around, lay out luggage, get dressed. Bathroom so small, with tiny sink - no place to put your travel and makeup kits. The breakfast was not up to par. The big beef was that they allowed a long trailer to block about 5 parking spots, so the last few ppl in at night had to scrounge for a spot nowhere near their rooms. We almost had to park in the resto's lot next door.

At least it's close to 195 and Fall River.

My wife & I stayed here for 2 days. The motel is located along the Taunton River, offering a view of Fall River. Overall, the motel was good, but they need to improve their breakfast.

Good Points:

Free micro-fridge; free local calls, 26” TV with 60+ channels, 1-cup coffee maker; massaging showerhead; luggage rack; a/c worked well; lots of free parking; clean room; quiet area; guest-use computer in lobby (free up to 15 min.); new, comfortable beds w/ pillow tops & decent pillows; nice landscaping around motel; efficient CFL bulbs used in lamps. Reasonable rates: $68 ($88 weekend). A Stop & Shop grocery is located nearby, as well as fast food restaurants & other businesses. The Swansea Mall is not far to drive. The front desk staff gave us some really good maps of the local area to make driving around much easier.

Bad Points:

The room was smaller than the photos on the website (one of the beds partially blocks the bathroom). Breakfast was rather cheap (not what I would call a Super Start): cereal (2), plain donuts, English muffins, coffee, tea, & OJ. My main complaint is that there is no cream for coffee; only whitener. They need to improve the variety & real cream is a must. No closet: the room only had a 2.5ft hanger rack with 2 drawers in the TV/micro-fridge cabinet. Lastly, I do not like having to pay up front. Nearly all hotel chains charge you upon check-out.

Other than that, the motel is quite decent for the money.

took the last room available that nite after a long road trip. if it wasn't for the fact that it was 2a, after seeing the room, i would have ran. too tired to notice the holes in the sheets from cigarette burns until the next morning, the crumbling ceiling and "filmy" carpet and overall stench was pretty much the biggest issues. i wasn't expecting the ritz, but i was expecting something of an upgrade above an large appliance cardboard box.

The room was great, everything was spotless (incuding the parking lot), attendant was friendly and courteous, but we did encounter that stinking smell like the other person. I believe it is the smell of the rotting plastic of the shower curtains. They do look clean / fine, like the rest of the bathroom, but it seems that sometime in the past the curtain got wet and pushed to the side (i.e. did not dry properly).

Location is good, motel visibility is excellent, GPS (mio 310x) has it right.
