“Lovely, well preserved inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 November 2011

My husband and I spent one night here on a quick trip through the area. The inn keeper does a wonderful job maintaining the beautiful old home. Our room was in the back and very quiet. It was a perfect room with a porch overlooking the nice gardens. This inn has off street parking and is within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Ask the inn keeper where to go and visit and eat. Our first afternoon we only asked about shopping and picked a place ourselves for dinner. The next morning we were asked about dinner and I said it really wasn't great. He told us about local places to go. Oh well our mistake and I won't make it again. Always ask for their dinner recommendations!

“What a great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2011

As I told Bob Nolan, proprietor, he's done a great job on the place. It's done but not overdone. Terrific old wood floors!! Wonderful hospitality: there for us when we had questions, but not intrusive. Really pleasant and interesting breakfast conversations to go with a nice variety of breakfast items. Easy walk all over town (beautiful old buildings and views). Bob also has a photo album of the restoration he's done on the building as well as historical documents of the town. A nice library and sitting room. We chanced on Newburyport on a trip without an itinerary and found Clark Currier through local recommendations and the visitors center. Such luck!!! (Try Park Place for fried clams and local kids-sports friendly atmosphere and The Grog for great Sunday evening jazz and blues.)

“A great place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2011

Newburyport is a great place to visit and Clark Currier Inn is the place to stay whilst you're there. Continental breakfast is fine but the host and the rooms are what makes this place special and a fab shower 20/10 for the shower and 10/10 for the Inn.

“Clark Currier Inn, Newburyport, Mass.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2011

We recently stayed at the Clark Currier Inn in Newburyport, MA. It's a wonderfully restored inn, very near the center of town. The room was quite comfortable, the common area were very cozy and nicely decorated, and the hospitality was excellent. Breakfast was good, a continental breakfast, but if you're looking for a full, homemade inn breakfast, that's not available. Overall, a very pleasant visit and good value.

“Charming and cozy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

The Inn is centrally located in Newburyport. The Inn was built in 1804 and it still has most of the orginal archetectural features of the period. We had the "Nolan Suite" which has two bedrooms with a sitting room in between. The beds were very comfortable and the suite was clean and well decorated. Our room was on the 2nd. floor and we requested help getting our luggage upstairs. The Inn provided breakfast with fresh baked bread, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, and coffee and tea. Parking was avaliable behind the Inn. We walked from the Inn to the shopping area and down to the water. Even though it was early September there were still beautiful flowers and landscapes all around the area.
