We stayed here for two nights based on the reviews posted previously, and we were not disappointed. The rooms are very nicely furnished and cosy, right at the top of the house; the welcome is warm; the bathroom is well equipped with both bath & shower; the breakfast which was served in the next door room was very good, with pastries, fruit, yoghurts and drinks and there is a small fridge and coffee maker. The views of the lighthouse and harbour are fantastic.

The only thing we didn't realise, is that One Kimball is not in Marblehead itself, but right at the end of Marblehead Neck, which is a smart but residential area, and therefore, about three miles' drive from the town - this could be a factor if you want to walk to a restaurant for a meal.

We were staying in Marblehead for one night and found One Kimball doing an on-line search. We could not have wanted anything more - it was extremely clean, very easy to find, had great communication with the owners before and during the stay - the location is probably the finest you could desire in Marblehead being right at the lighthouse and by a park overlooking the water.

We had 2 young daughters with us and the owners welcomed them, the room layouts for a family was perfect.

We aren't really bed and breakfast people and generally stay in hotels, but we couldn't recommend this higher nor have wanted a better experience.

Plus our last name is Kimball, so staying in a place that had our last name as part of the name made it all the more fun.

THIS is the place to stay in Marblehead - period.
My husband and I with our two teens stayed at One Kimball for four days in August. When we first saw the house we thought this couldn't be the place because it was just too good to be true. A big beautiful historic home in exclusive Marblehead Neck overlooking the water. Our hosts Rich and Day Newburg were warm and friendly. They have done an amazing job in restoring and decorating their gorgeous home. There are only two suites in this B&B, so it is private and spacious (and each suite has ocean views). The breakfasts were delicious. The house was very cozy and welcoming and devoid of kitsch. What a great feeling being there - we hated to leave!

It was refreshing to find a beautiful inn free of the kitchyness and frou-frou of a typical B&B. Our delightful hosts Day and Rich have done an outstanding job in restoring and decorating this historic property. The view of the Marblehead light and harbour from the back porch is a living postcard. Both of the B's were wonderful---the Bed was most comfortable as the Breakfast waiting outside our door was delicious. Our early departure was accommodated without hesitation. The only thing we would do differently is to stay longer next time!
