Once inside this homey room with its electric fireplace (turned on in advance of our arrival by our welcoming hostess), we forgot all about the driving winds and wet snow outside. It is off Rte. 28, the backbone of Cape Cod's south shore, in walking distance of decent chain restaurants (Friendly's and Ninety Nine). The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped as others have noted, and reasonably priced.

We stayed here for two nights whilst on a tour of the New England area. The premises are as described in there website and the rooms are comfortable but the one we stayed in which was on the ground floor at the front did suffer from a noise , mainly when someone in either the adjacent room or the one above took a shower which occurred on both mornings at 6am and was loud enough to wake us up. Whether this is the only room to suffer such noise I do not not know, however it did not spoil our stay but is something to be aware of.
The centre of Falmouth is a little distance away and better accessed by car than walking especially at night time. There are however a couple within walking distances at two shopping malls, one a chines buffet restaurant the other being a ninety nine restaurant. The continental breakfast in the barn is adequate with ample choices, this can either be eaten in the barn or taken to your room.
This is a good motel to stop in and gives good value for money.

Room tip: One to the rear of the property would be an advantage in high season when the road noise may be a little excessive, we went in the Fall and were not troubled by any road noise.

Needed a late arrival......piece of cake! Entered room to find a clean, bright, cheery, room with a cathedral ceiling. Not fancy like swanky marble and gilded hotels, but perfect like a cottage retreat with everything I needed for restful nights between long days of work away from home. Thanks! If I'm in the area again, I'll be back!

Room tip: Super quiet in back building, 2nd floor. (stair access only)

We spent 3 nights at The Red Horse Inn...a welcome respite from packing up each day and moving on. The room was very well appointed; comfortable bed, relaxing sitting area, interesting décor, fridge, free WiFi. Breakfast was included in the room rate and was more than ample. We walked to the ferry to go over to Martha's Vineyard and we were able to walk to dinner on 2 of the nights.

This was our second visit to The Red Horse Inn. Cindy goes out of her way to let you check in early. We love the room with the jacuzzi and it is always rented but she makes a huge effort to get it cleaned just as soon as they check out so we can check in.

The bed is very comfortable and the room is very cozy and clean.

Close to restaurants, shopping and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard.
