“Summer vacation”

My husband and I stayed here in late June of 2011. The location is fabulous. It is close to all local attractions but the most wonderful thing is its proximity to the beach. All you have to do is walk behind the motel and you are there.

Dave the owner is extremely helpful in all areas. Coffee is always readily available. The housekeeping staff is exceptional.

This is the perfect spot for a family vacation. You can go to the beach, visit nearby attractions, have a picnic lunch, sit quietly and read in front of your motel room or let the kids play in the parking lot without fear of a lot of traffic. Prices are also very reasonable.

Room Tip: We had a room on the ground level facing the parking lot. We enjoyed watching the people coming and...

“An easily missed gem”

We have just spent four nights at The Old Landing Motel on Cape Cod. We found it through Trip Advisor, read the reviews and decided to book. Although the rooms are a bit tired, the one we had (upstairs looking towards the sea) was big, clean and comfortable and the rates were really good. There was housekeeping everyday with clean towels. David (the owner) was a really interesting guy. He was friendly and helpful and as other reviews have said, makes the best coffee! It's the end of season so the much of the area is closing up, but the weather was great and we managed some time on the beach. Flies were a nuisance on the beach, but that was apparently something to do with the way the wind was blowing. We had a couple of great meals at the Oyster Company. Visited Clancy's but walked out before eating because they were really rude. The Wee Packet restaurant was walkable but closed for the season after a couple of days. We went whale watching at Provincetown which was amazing. Saw about 30 whales in total! If we come back to Cape Cod, we'll certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the sea. They are a bit more expensive but well worth it for the view and...

“Quiet Solitude”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2011

Four days of peace and quiet...... just seagulls and crashing waves. Clean comfy room and 75 degrees in late September. The beach was warm and inviting with water temps near 70. A perfect vacation. Lobby full of info and coupons..... A perfect getaway place in a hidden location away from the hustle and bustle...

“Great as always”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 September 2011

I've lost track of how many times I've stayed at the Old Landing. Never been disappointed. The location is great, rooms comfortable, and of course as others have mentioned over and over, David, the owner, is the best host--and coffee barista!--around.
