“Overall good with some minor issues”

Stayed here three nights. Modern, clean hotel. Friendly help. Large rooms. I had a room on the top floor so I did have the noise above issues, but there is no doubt that the room shakes a little if a nearby room lets their door slam shut. Another work colleague had a different room on a floor one lower, and he did say that it sounded as if there was a dance contest going on above him.

Ask for a top floor room -- if you get one you should have a good experience.

This is a very nice almost new hotel. Before going, I read that the boards creak and didn't think much of it. Sure enough, I was awakened at 5:50 AM Saturday morning, about 2 hours earlier than I wanted to be. It must be a wood frame building or something. I also hoped for good internet connections - they were, except I have FIOS at home and like to watch video. Even state of the art internet is not that great, and this hotel's service is probably among the best - wired and wi-fi. Great breakfast. Gym was OK - small, but that's how these places run.

“Quiet Luxury”

This hotel is located convenient to all things Boston. It appears to be new or newly remodeled. All things were good with this Inn; breakfast, quietness, parking orientation to building, room size, and comfort. All rooms are accessible with the elevator. The hotel had several groups of children for some sort of runing event, but the staff placed them in a separate area to maintain quiet rooms for those wishing less noise. A manager was on duty everytime we passed through the lobby. Stayed two nights.

“Lovely hotel but very noisy”

First impressions of this hotel were very good, quiet area, new looking hotel, nicely decorated. Reception was polite but not very friendly, especially compared with the two previous Hampton Inns we stayed in.
We had a king room on the second floor which was large, well equipped and very clean, unfortunately a large tree completely blocked the light and any view of the lovely autumn trees, a shame but not a problem.
The big problem with this hotel is the noise. We could hear every footstep from the room above and one night this was at 1.00am and 3.00am. Also each morning we were woken up around 6.00am by a door constantly banging shut and realised when we were having breakfast the second morning that the noise was coming from the kitchen door in the breakfast room. Our room was close to the open balcony area just above reception and the breakfast room so we could clearly hear the noise each morning. I would imagine that rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor were a lot quieter. Ironically I made a request for a quiet room on booking.
Based on the noise we would not stay at this hotel again, which is a shame because the hotel is perfect in every other way.

Whilst we are happy to note that you found the hotel perfect, it is distressing to read your feedback on the rooms, level of noise from room above and below and service at our front desk.

“Nice hotel, but smoking on top floor”

This hotel was nice. Front desk service was fair, they did not go out of their way like other hotels do. Typically if there is a problem with your room, the front desk will bring you a key for a new room or pillows, etc. I felt like I was putting them out of their way here even though they made the guest come to the front desk. The 4th floor allows only a few smoking rooms but the whole floor smells terrible of smoke! Do not stay on the 4th floor unless you smoke and enjoy the smell of it.

Please do accept my sincere apologies for the manner in which your visit was handled. I take complete responsibility on behalf of the front desk team for your visit. I have shared your concerns not only at the Head of Department level, but also with the team members so that we can all collectively learn from this.

At the Hampton Inn Bedford/Burlington we endeavour to be consistent in ensuring that we deliver excellent service. It is feedback such as yours, which helps us to continuously introspect and find permanent solutions and goes a long way in helping us improve our services.

In regards to smoking rooms and smell on the 4th floor, we are consistently ensuring that smoking smell is contained within smoking rooms and not affecting our guest rooms or public areas. We are using state of art ionizers in our public spaces so that there is no smoke odor in the hallways.
