I booked this hotel from Priceline website, I selected the amenities: Wi-Fi, Microwave, Refridgerator, and double beds. I named my price and this hotel displayed, I thought it was going to be a wonderful experience with the wonderful discount that was offered for $40 per night for 7 days. when I arrived and went to my room, I did not have microwave, refridgerator, or the double be I was expecting to have. The room was so small I barely fit my suit case in and to top it off there wasnt a air vent in the bathroom to prevent unwanter odor from lingering through out the small space of a hotel room. I address my concern to the owner of the hotel whom place the blame on priceline for displaying the false advertisement; and also stated that if I had put in for a higher bid than perhaps I may have recieved a refridge or microwave. I exclaim to the hotel owner if I had a coupon for for a Free movie ticket or discount ticket, I would not a expect a movie theatre without a movie screen or seats, I would expect that I was getting a good deal and excellent customer service for an unbeatable deal but unfortunately this was not the case. I was advise it was my fault because I made reservation from a third party vendor that advertise for their hotel. Shame on me.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels of this class, while driving to and from Florida for the winter. What we look for is a convenient, quiet, comfortable, economical and clean place to spend the night, with a TV, free WiFi and breakfast, not a grand hotel with lots of amenities we don't use. This hotel met all our conditions. The staff was friendly. The bed was very comfortable, everything worked (small TV, miniFridge, AC/heat, WiFi etc.), and it was clean and quiet. There was no in-room coffee maker which is common in most hotels, but we didn't need it anyway. The breakfast was standard continental fare. The place and furnishings are older and basic, but offered good value for what we paid.

Another pleasant surprise at a Microtel Inn. I had such a positive experience at a Microtel in Marietta, OH I thought I would give another a try. Based on the Tripadvisor reviews of this one in Hagerstown we decided to stay here and are very impressed. No odors present in the lobby or 2nd floor hallway. My non-smoking room was clean and odor free. You don't see many tube televisions in hotels these days and the location of the TV , above the armoir, got a chuckle. Hagerstown is a common stop for us on trips and would definitely stay here again.

I am basing my overall rating on this property as excellent in comparison to other properties in the same price classification. My husband and I just needed a place to stay for one evening. The gentleman who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant - even upgraded our room. We were very impressed with the room. It was a unique layout with unique modular furnishings and a nice window seat. Despite being next to the highway there was no noise in our room. Despite being nonsmoking, the entire floor we were on did have a smoke smell - our room as well, but not to the extent the common areas did. It wasn't that bad though. The one area I would make improvements is to have some healthier breakfast options. There was cereal provided but just one type of unmarked milk. Skim milk as an option would have been nice, as well as light margarine, light/fat free cream cheese, or sugar free jelly to go with the breakfast breads, or sugar free syrup to go with the waffles. I am on a restricted diet and was unable to partake in the selections offered, but I do appreciate breakfast being offered as an amenity! But this was an excellent place to stay and an excellent value. I would definitely recommend this property to others.
