“Don't even consider this dump”

I didn't really have a choice in the matter...but I still should have said no. First of all, I was given a room key...went to the room, walked in to discover someone else still in the room. Thankfully they were in the shower and I was able to duck out unnoticed, and went back to the front desk. There was no apology...just a bewildered employee who gave me a new room without saying a word. Cleanliness...well there was none...at least judging by the two porno mags I found in my room. Through the first half of the night there were people (possibly kids) running up and down the walk way outside my room. Overall...didn't feel very safe. I was happy to get out of there in the morning. Budget or not...this place isn't even worth considering...just move along, nothing to see here.

“Disgusting, Dirty and Dangerous”

I don't recommend this hotel. The first room had several stains on the walls, door and carpeting. The bathroom was infested with ants. The county (Prince George's County Maryland) was suffering from seven murders in four days.

What more do you need.? Don't stay here and tell your friends.

“Nasty”

I would not not recommend this hotel to anyone. The room we had was completely filthy. The wall coverings were coated with filth, there was also a large spot of some kind of food on the wall. The carpeting was grimy. Some of the wallpaper was damaged from some roof problem and patching was not applyed by an experienced tradesman. I was a code enforcement inspector for 6 years and I can tell you from experience that the repair methods used in our room and outside the property were not industry standard. The methods used were typical handiwork of unskilled hired workers. There was a missing handrail on the wall also. This also caused me to question the safety of the building.
Here's more: Examination of the perimeter wall of the box spring showed it to be completely ripped and torn. there was also a large brown stain that appeared to have "wicked" up from the floor making me suspect it was actually a large blood stain. Truly disgusting. The inexpensive bathroom door had previously been kicked in also and was repaired insted of replaced. What a nice touch! I took many film pictures of the property and will be forwarding them to the proper authorities. You"ve been warned.

“bugs,bugs bugs”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2005

If you want to stay awake at night waiting for the cockroaches to crawl up the wall this hotels for you. We rented three rooms on Nov.17th and all three rooms had cockroaches. We kept our luggage closed so nothing crawled inside and tried to get a few hours sleep until we checked out in the morning. We even brought a cockroach we caught in a bag up to the front desk with us. The Days Inn should be embarassed to have their name in front of this place....The doors in the back [where we were] looked like they were pryed open at one time...We then went across the st. to the Hampton Inn where we had three nice rooms on very short notice......Six unhappy B.C. fans from Auburn Mass. that was until we won the game P.S. the terps have a great golf course and football facility.....

“could be better”

first, the positives: the room was very clean, the shower exceptional. a short drive to a metro station with parking. however one thing really affected my view of the hotel. there was what i believed to be vomit on the handrail on the staircase close to our room-which i discovered of course by putting my hand in it. it is an outdoor stair, but still i can't see how housekeeping didn't see it, or clean it up. we only stayed 2 nights and i didn't report it to the front desk-although i couldn't have by phone it didn't work- because i thought they would notice it without being told. i was wrong, it was still there when we checked out. that leads me to the biggest negative, at least for me. there were groups of college aged people also staying there, yelling and running up and down the corridor and metal stairs until 3 or 4 am. forgive me for making assumptions, but i have to assume the debris on the handrail came from someone partying too hard. i guess at the price-go to the days inn website for lowest-you have to expect that sort of fellow traveller. unfortunately, it could be a very good place to stay if the tone wasn't set by these inconsiderate people. a few extra minor inconveniences: none of the vending machines worked, and the room, granted a smoking room, smelled as if 20 people had just been smoking nonstop in there just before we came, and the phone did not work. it's a good place for young people set lose on the world, but for business people or those resting up for sightseeing and lots of walking, perhaps not the best choice.
