We stayed here on our way up to Acadia and it proved to be a comfortable place to stay, conveniently located on Rt 1 with access to many antique shops. We tend to stay away from chain motels and this is an excellent example of a locally owned place where the proprietor takes pride on keeping a clean, friendly and well maintained place.

My Dad and I traveled here in July of 2009 and stayed for 3 nights at the Yardarm. This was a great motel; the owner met us, shared some local sights of interest and restaurants, and made us feel very welcome. It was close enough to Bar Harbor that we had quick and easy access to Acadia National Park but not the crowds of Bar Harbor itself. We had a wonderful time!

What a lovely place! Very clean, roomy accommodations, comfortable beds, loved sitting on the "front porch" and watching the world go by! Beautiful breakfast room. Owners very accommodating and friendly. Will definitely go back..

Reasonable rates. We stayed one night. Comfortable beds, chairs. Nice breakfast provided in the morning. No complaints. Friendly staff. Quaint motel. Don't expect a large chain or resort type setting.
