We booked into this hotel using a discount website at a very good rate. Our room was great. Very clean and fully equipped (full stove, fridge & even a dishwasher!). The wireless internet is only available in the hotel lobby but there is wired internet in each room. However, when I asked about wireless internet, because I was going to be using an iPhone app to call home, the clerk went and got me a wireless router for us to use during our stay! A pleasant surprise.

The breakfast is very basic but all you really need. English muffins, yogurt, cereal (cold and oatmeal packets), juice & milk. I did see some cold boiled eggs there too. And 24 hour coffee & tea. They only have butter so some jams or other spreads would be nice but then again, you have a whole kitchen at your disposal so if you were staying for an extended period, you could buy your own.

The "gym" is just a couple of treadmills and an elliptical - it gets very warm in there but it does the trick. In the summer there is an outdoor pool and a BBQ area that you can use.

The location is good - just down the road from the Maine Mall and big box stores but kind of out of the way so that you're not right in the hustle & bustle. There is a Shaw's Supermarket right across the road so you can buy some groceries if you're staying for awhile.

I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. I will be booking back in - especially if we are planning an extended stay. It's only 10 minutes from Old Orchard Beach. Even though it looked like it was booked solid (based on the parking lot), we never heard anybody coming or going. This was a nice, clean, quiet hotel.

The rooms are fairly spacious. I've stayed here twice and never encountered noise. But... The office is almost impossible to find at night, even finding the hotel itself isn't easy. The carpet and flooring in the room was in dire need of cleaning both times I was there. The towels are pretty much thread bare. The bed linens appeared clean but not crisp. The breakfast was a "why bother?" Who wants cereal when there's no place to sit and eat it? And it irks me to no end that I have to actually go to the desk to check out, rather than them putting the bill under the door.

This is far from the nicest TownPlace Suites I've stayed at (I'd rate it second to bottom), but it's also far from the worst place I've stayed. I rated it poor because I didn't consider it average, "Fair" would be a better term.

Will I stay here again? Probably not. I didn't recall the place when I booked it the second time, but I will remember it moving forward and avoid it if possible. The first time I stayed was last winter, I remember they plowed my car in and didn't seem to care or even offer a shovel.

The one good thing is the grocery store right across the street.

Everything about this hotel is shoddy and cheap, from the tacky vinyl siding to the thin walls and hollow plastic doors.

Even at that, it could have been OK, but ended up as the worst hotel experience we've had in a LONG time. First, we could not find the office because we arrived after dark, and the one small sign that shows the office had its one light out. When we finally found the office, we had to park in a handicap place because there was no available parking closer than around the back. We were sent to a room in an adjacent building, but could not actually get into the building because the exterior door was jammed shut; a staff member let us in and explained that the door was a long-standing problem, but it apparently never occurred to anyone to fix the door. Once in the room, we found that Internet did not work. The front desk referred us to an 800 number, which led to 5 minutes of stupid advice ("try rebooting" and "make sure the cable is connected" when the problem was obviously that there was nothing at the other end). Never got it working. The bed sagged badly in the middle, and my wife and I both ended up with sore backs. But the worst thing was: FLEAS! FLEAS all over the place! We shot out of there in the early AM and will never return. We're still laundering all the clothes that we had at the hotel. Note: nearby Courtyard and Embassy Suites are far superior, but were booked. Never again, never again!

Great location, bed not fresh appearing...they do their own laundry onsite. The rooms needs updating and a general freshening up. People are friendl y...breakfast just OK..no room to enjoy . Pool ok but not open most of the time Cigarette butts abound in pool and barbeque area. Room is typical for a cheaper hotel with out bells and whistles at an expensive price. Value for price is questionable.
