“Our little bit of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 November 2011

My Husband and I have returned from our second wonderful runaway to Terrace. Darlene is just a perfect person and Sergio has an eye for detail about what is needed for a "break" that it is like he was reading our minds. The room is spotless, the porch divine. The breakfast each morning is amazing and we love our room. Already planning on running away again next year. Fall on the Maine coast is mesmerizing. Thank you Darlene, you are a love!

Room Tip: Look at the property, talk with reception, they offer such an array of rooms that there is bound to...

“Off-season get-away”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 November 2011

Stayed here in mid-October. We had lovely weather but if it had been pouring rain it would have been great. Terrace by the Sea is warm, friendly and the room (321) was perfect for 3 friends on a long weekend. The location is right in town, no need to get in your car for meals, entertainment, etc.

Room Tip: They have many types of rooms, ask the front desk before booking. Some have parking lots right outsi...

“Gorgeous location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2011

When I stepped in the door and saw the great range of Twinings Teas and the lovely lobby area, I was impressed. Ther motel is almost on the water - such a great location, and off the main street, so in a nice quiet location. The receptionists I met were really top quality - very friendly and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean. The only bad thing I have to say about this place is the wallpaper was a bit tired and some of the furnishings were tatty. This didn't detract from my stay at all. One thing that might be a consideration for some is, as the Inn is the oldest building on the property, it was very noisy. I could hear the people in the next room talking and there was an inch gap under the door to the hallway and I could hear everything in the lobby, so didn't get a lot of sleep. Having said all this, my over-all stay was really good. I would recommend it to people for a good seaside trip away.

“Another Wonderful Stay”

My husband and I recently stayed again at Terrace By The Sea. We were very happy with our stay. We wished it could have been more than 1 night. Pleasant check in at the main house. We received the exact room we requested. It happened to be a perfect late fall day so we layed outside on the lounge chairs and watched the ocean, very relaxing on their beautifully kept grounds. The staff was very friendly. The rooms clean and well appointed. The free continental breakfast in the morning on the porch was perfect, the roses at each table added such a nice touch. We stayed in the Beach Street building, king room second floor far left with the view of the ocean, very nice, just as we requested. There is also an outdoor pool. The only thing I would change is that you could reserve online. We definitely like staying at Terrace By The Sea, for their location , service, cleanliness. Great Job, we'll be back again!
