My husband took our 1st trip to Maine not knowing what to expect from this hotel. We read a negative review or two, BUT desperate to get away we decided to rough it for the weekend if thats what it came to. Well, we were pleasantly surprised, Kathleen & Peter greeted us warmly & upgraded our room when we checked in. The room was clean and very spacious. It is very close to Goose Rocks Beach & the town where all the restaurants are. We felt the continental breakfast was enough to get us thru to lunch. Overall our stay was fantastic & we commend Kathleen & Peter for their hard work in keeping this hotel in good shape despite the size. P.S. As an added bonus we saw Pres. Bush Sr. & none of the restaurants in town disappointed!

Food was pretty bad in the restaurant. Place is quiet and kind of hum drum. Not close to any part of Kennebunkport. Beach is not that close either. Still would have to drive. Disappointed in it.

Very much looking forward to a weeks stay with family in August at Ocean Woods with Kathleen, Peter and staff. It is our often visited, much loved second home away from the mountains. The Inn is constantly being updated, and the grounds provide a beautiful setting for a wedding, anniversary, graduation, birthday, or any other gathering with family, friends, or associates. Kathleen and Peter, the owners, are gracious and are happiest when their guests are comfortable and enjoying themselves whether in the sparkling pool, playing rainy day games in the library, or watching the kids play around the large manicured grounds. The rooms are spacious, clean, airy and comfortable. The Continental breakfast is tasty and the dining area is very pleasant. On the upper level, TJ's is a great place to enjoy a drink, food, and fellowship with other guests and the staff. The location is very convenient to the most beautiful beach in southern Maine, and minutes from charming Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport for restaurants and browsing in the many lovely shops. Residents of Boston, and surrounding areas, are extremely fortunate to live so close to this relaxing jewel!

We always stay at Oceanwoods Resort when we are in the Kennebunkport area. Run by Kathleen and Pete, the inn continues to prosper. Kathleen has been updating the bedding in the rooms and it looks great. An ideal spot for families and parties. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The location can't be beat, just a short distance to the best beach in Southern Maine, Goose Rocks Beach.
