“surprisingly nice hotel”

This was a surprise for me. I was expecting some hole in the wall motel that stinks and has no service. When we arrived to Jackman pretty late, owner greeted me and was very friendly. The room was clean and all basic stuff like shower, tv etc was working. No breakfast here but considering i only paid $65 for this, its fine. Only one thing i hope they put in rooms - coffee maker (funny they got a fridge but no coffee maker). I had no issues with this place at all, if you are looking for just a cheap, clean and safe place to sleep for the night, this place should suit you.

“Worst Mostel Ever!”

Let me begin by saying I am not a fussy traveler. I am not hard to please, but this place is awful. We had no choice but to stay here. There were no other rooms available. We were 3 couples coming back to the US from Canada. It was late and all other motels / hotels were full. Brown Moose is as close to the "Bates Motel" as I have ever been. The entire place is filthy and stinks to high heaven. I was even afraid to take a shower. The linen had to be at least 30 years old, along with the carpet and everything else in the room. I would NEVER recommend anyone stay here. We travel a lot and this is the first negative review I have ever posted on Trip Advisor, but I think it is important the public is aware of this place and to avoid it if at all possible.
