We had two rooms; 7A on the front downstairs and 14 on the back downstairs, both in the newer building that does not have the restaurant in it. I didn't think the road noise was an issue at all. I can only imagine that the people complaining about road noise must be incredibly light sleepers. We were there on Monday and Tuesday night so we did not get to eat dinner at the inn. We are told by our Belfast relatives that it is a very good place to eat. The breakfast was hot and tasty and cheerfully served. The rooms have a refrigerator in them. I thought the rooms were fine. The were large, airy and furnished adequately. No they were not modern but neither is Belfast Maine. Housekeeping was lackluster. She made the bed and replaced towels and that is about it; no wiping off the bathroom sink or sweeping/vacuuming. I thought the ironic thing was that there is a tip envelope for the maid. I left $2 the first day before seeing her cleaning. The second day she got nothing. Wifi is only in the main building in the lobby/restaurant area. I wish they would expand the breakfast hours a little bit. 8-9am is a little inflexible.
