“Don't Miss This Fabulous Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2010

Diana and Santiago Rich are the perfect innkeepers - charming, warm, engaging, funny, and great cooks! Every detail was elegant, from the positioning of the chocolates and the bathroom goodies, to the place settings at breakfast. We have already told friends about The White House Inn in Belfast Maine. The house is historic and gorgeous! The ambiance provided by the delightful innkeepers rivals any place we have traveled. Don't miss The White House Inn!

“Luxury living in Belfast, Maine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

We've been visiting Belfast on day trips for years, but this year we decided to spend several days here. Our choice of The White House B&B was especially fortuitous; it is a lavishly decorated Greek Revival mansion owned and operated by a couple that makes you feel right at home. Diana and Sandy Rich were very welcoming and accomodating, and served unique gourmet Breakfasts daily that will hold you until dinner . This is a five-star experience within the rustic villages of Mid-Coast Maine. Short day trips to places like Camden, Rockland and Rockport are very short distances from Belfast. The White House B&B is a well kept secret that should not be missed.

“Wonderful Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2010

In town for two nights and found this to be a delightful stay. I don't always enjoy the bed and breakfast "experience," but Santiago and Diane really get it right. They are friendly without being intrusive; always pleasant and professional (even when greeting us after midnight).

“Excellent Hosts of an Excellent B & B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

We stayed at the White House for 7 nights including the Celtic Celebration Weekend. Diana and Santiago were perfect hosts. A different gourmet breakfast was served every morning in a sitdown style. The White House and its gardens were well kept and added to the pleasure of our visit. Belfast is a quaint, small town located by a beautiful harbor filled with nice scenery and ample art galleries and crafts. The ages (1700's) of many homes and churches were a pleasant surprise. We used the White House as a central place to stay while visiting other towns around Penobscot Bay and of course Acadia Park. For food in Belfast: Rollies, Darby's and Chase's restaurants were very nice. Whale Tooth Pub and St. Michel in Lincolnville are also good places to eat. Amore's was the only bad meal. Bad service as well. Lobster and other seafood restaurants are plentiful and the shopping in stores and Co-ops are everywhere.
