We stayed at the White House for 7 nights including the Celtic Celebration Weekend. Diana and Santiago were perfect hosts. A different gourmet breakfast was served every morning in a sitdown style. The White House and its gardens were well kept and added to the pleasure of our visit. Belfast is a quaint, small town located by a beautiful harbor filled with nice scenery and ample art galleries and crafts. The ages (1700's) of many homes and churches were a pleasant surprise. We used the White House as a central place to stay while visiting other towns around Penobscot Bay and of course Acadia Park. For food in Belfast: Rollies, Darby's and Chase's restaurants were very nice. Whale Tooth Pub and St. Michel in Lincolnville are also good places to eat. Amore's was the only bad meal. Bad service as well. Lobster and other seafood restaurants are plentiful and the shopping in stores and Co-ops are everywhere.
