January 11, 2012: We were exhausted and hoped to find a nice hotel for the night. This hotel has a lovely exterior and lobby, so what could go wrong! We checked into the last room available and were very happy just to have a place to sleep. The staff were very warm and kind. The room, however, was not up to any Hilton standard. We are Hilton Honors members and stay in Hilton properties whenever possible. Our room was 132.00 plus tax...150.00. The decor was not special, but that was not the main problem. The heating unit rattled so badly we could not sleep. My husband finally wedged a notebook in the vent and placed a pillow atop it to muffle the sound. Additionally, the refrigerator vibrated; he remedied that sound by pulling it out of the cabinet so that the door rested on the floor. The dust on top of the refrigerator was very thick...again, not the problem. Finally, we were able to sleep. I told the desk clerk about the problems the next morning; she said she would have maintenance look into the matter. I suggested that 150.00 was much too high for this poor accommodation. She said her manager was in a meeting and that she'd ask her to email us regarding an adjustment. She did not ask for an email address, so I suspected we'd never hear from this establishment again. I was correct. I am completely dissatisfied with this hotel and could not recommend it to anyone.

This hotel shouldn't have the Hilton name... the structure of the hotel is fancy and while Gloria is on here addressing concerns... here is one ... Why do your guests have to wait and hour for clean towels??? yes can you believe it they will tell you the towels are drying... one time I waited almost two hours and my husband went to wal-mart to get towels. What hotel is limited on towels even Motel 6 have towels for there guest... second when I visit the hotel in July they have Rodeo across from the hotel... and the guest came back to the hotel leaving trails throughout the hotel smelling like horse do0-doo!! I call the front desk and complain about us having to get on the elevator and smelling that and also getting that scent under our shoes. The clerk stated someone will clean it up and when I came out my room it was still there just as before... Gloria is addressing concerns on here but I left my cell number for her to call me and she never did!!!! Please take care of your towel shortage and have staff on duty to mop the floors as they are returning from the rodeo... the next time I come I will take pictures and post them on the internet and send them to corporate... my last visit was unpleasant!!! The smell was horrible!!!

I stayed here last night. The hotel is about a year old. It was very clean and the staff was very nice (especially Jessica and the GM, who's name I cannot remember). I did not eat here, so I cannot comment on that. Location is close to I-20, but restaurants are about a mile or so down I-20.

When I arrived, Jessica had a bit of trouble finding a room ready for check in (it was 4:00PM). She kept checking with the housekeepers and found one for me - no big deal, if you ask me and kudos to Jessica for being persistant! I was greeted as a Hhonors member and given "freebies" when I checked in. It's nice to get recognized for spending thousands of dollars with a company each year...

The rooms are typical HGI style. It was quiet and easy to sleep. I did hear the faint whistle of a train, but it's very faint and was actually quite relaxing to me.

Yes, the water here is a "golden" color, but according to the city, is safe to drink. I didn't drink any of it, but that's just me. I talked with the GM about it and she said the hotel is looking at putting in it's own filtration system. The water would not stop me from staying here again. The staff makes it worth coming back!

I have stayed here twice and had a great experience both times. The front desk even called my room to ask if everything was okay and if they could do anything for me! It has a nice little in house restaurant and lounge, so you don't have to venture out although it is very conveniently located to other restaurants and shopping. It is right off the interstate but far enough to miss the noise. The rooms are very clean and well kept, there are lots of perks like free wireless internet and fresh cookies and fruit at the desk, but most of all the staff is terrific! It is quiet and peaceful as well.
