I have not yet stayed at this hotel, as this will be a 10 day Business trip - however, have stayed at many Country Inn & Suites, and thus far have been nice. Yet the issues in reserving a room with this particular Country Inn & Suites was a hassle. When you call the hotel directly, they put you in touch with there central reservations, who books you a room for (1) night in a Queen and the remaining (9) nights in a King, thus having to switch rooms during the stay. Because this was CLC, they showed the open availability for (10) nights and requested that I contact the hotel for direct bill. Called the hotel, and they could not open their system, and switched me back to Reservations, who in turn negotiated the stay and had the hotel call me back directly to resolve getting (10) nights in a King. The hotel called me back to inform me that the reservations were confirmed, as well as their central reservations. However, since this was Mardi Gras, the reservations still stood at (1) night in a Queen & the remaining (9) nights in a King. The Central Reservations stated that they could not understand why the (10) nights could not be accommodated as they showed availability, but for me to confirm again on Sunday and to see if I could get the full (10) nights in a King. When I contacted the hotel, I s/w Gita who would only confirm that I had (10) nights in a Queen, and that I was not getting the King that I had reservations for of (9) nights. As I tried to explain the information to her, she abruptly interrupted me, as I again tried to explain the Central Reservations information of trying to get the additional (1) night into a King for the full (10) nights, she cut me off, put me on hold for 4 minutes, and then infactically stated that I was booked for (10) full nights in a Queen, and that's it. As I asked for the Manager, she told me that they would be in within a 1/2 hour and for me to call back. I called back the Central Reservations, and they showed that they booked me for (1) night in a Queen, and (9) nights in a King, and could not understand why their was an issues, as the showed availability still for the (10) full nights in a King. In the meantime, the Central Reservations contacted Gita, and after speaking with her could not understand why she was so uncooperative & stated they felt she needed re-training in "Customer Service skills" and asked that I contact their corporate office in the morning. Right now, I just need a nice place to stay within my CLC group with the best rating closest to the location I need to be for 10 days. I started contacting Ramada, Hilton, Holiday Inn which were all farther way, etc.... but the prices were higher and for the amenties that Country Inn & Suites offer, this is the best option. So I contacted the hotel back directly, no Manager was on duty - as Gita now left for the day, (what happened to the Manager who would be there in a 1/2 hour?) Anyways, ended up talking with a "Keith", explained my situation, he accommodated my needs for the full (10) days in a King - so it states until I arrive tomorrow. The slogan states "We'll treat you like family" so that you'll "Feel right at home" I will re-review my reservations and this hotel after the 10 day stay and see if the slogan fits and how the stay was. As for now, Keith was very nice.
