I have stayed at this motel many times over the years. I attend classes at LSU and this has always been where my company arranges for me to stay. I have had many one night stays, and have even stayed for 1 and 2 weeks at a time. This used to be an awesome place, with a great free breakfast and a lounge with free happy hour. It has new management now, and the place has gone down so fast. The lounge is no longer open, even though it is still advertised. The restaurant area where the breakfast is served is open sometimes, but not always, so you never know whether you will get breakfast or not, and the people who prepare the breakfast are very unfriendly now. The rooms are still clean, but in every room I have stayed in, the bathrooms have walls that are patched up and the bath feels like it will pass through the floor. I have stayed in 4 different rooms lately, and they are all like this. At night now, when you leave the room, the walls outside are full of roaches. The only ones I have seen in the room were dead, but outside they are everywhere. This was never a problem before. I have convinced my company to let us stay at another hotel now because of these concerns. I hate that because this place holds many good memories for me, and it was like home away from home. I hope that is regains some of it's former glory, but for now I would avoid it.
Room Tip: Ask to see the room first. Look at the bathroom and make sure it is ok.
