My family and I stayed at this motel on a trip to visit family in the area. We were traveling with our pets and needed to stay somewhere that did not charge a lot of money for that luxury. After reading other reviews, I was hesitant, but hopeful. I called a couple of days in advance of the trip to confirm our reservations. The phone call did not go well. When I made the reservations, I was told that they did not charge for pets. During the call, what little I could discern from the heavily accented person on the other end, was that they would be charging for the pets. This made me apprehensive, but with a budget in place and still hopeful, we continued with our plans. When we arrived, we checked in and nothing was said about extra charges. We then found our room. On the way to it, the hallway, though littered with sign of no smoking, smelled of thick cigarette smoke. Our room had laminate "wood". It was buckling in some spots, but was a great idea with pets and allergies. We noticed that one of the coverlets on the bed had a large stain, but as soon as we called to ask for another, it was replaced. The full sized beds were a little smaller than we needed so we had to get a blow up matteress for my son. The motel does not offer cots, but they did provide us sheets and blankets for it. The room over all was clean, but there were stains along the dust covers on the beds and cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The tv and ac worked fine, but the channels are very limited. While walking the dogs, I noticed several ac units out behind a maintenance shed and their picnic table and bench were covered in bird droppings. The plusses for this place was definitely the friendly helpful staff, clean towels, hot water, and unlimited ice.
