As others have said - location is a short distance to 4th Street experience. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We did have a small issue w/ one of our two rooms but called the front desk and the situation was resolved within 15 minutes. We were there during "Breeder's Cup" weekend and could not believe what a steal this hotel was. I would definitely recommend it.

Location was OK - we're big walkers, so we don't mind having to walk too far to anything. We were only about a 10 min walk to 4th Street Live, so that wasn't too bad.

The breakfast was great! AND, they have a gym - which is important to me, and often not found in budget hotels.

Like other reviewers I agree this hotel has a good location if going to the Yum Center etc. With bridges closed in Louisville the traffic flow within this area at rush hour is horrendous. So a bonus to be able to leave the car at the hotel (for the $5 extra) and walk places. This Econo does Choice hotels no favour as far as amenities, room size and quality of beds, linens and general upkeep. I have paid a lot less per night in the Choice range for far more comfort etc. But having said that this is in the city and premium rates can rule, especially downtown Louisville. So when other places were booked this place sufficed but it's not likely that we'd return.

First, we we're not sure about the neighborhood but everything was fine... Conveniently located downtown Louisville, within easy reach from the Interstate... Perfect place if you are on road trip and want to spend a day in Louisville... walking distance from KFC Yum center,
Louisville Slugger Museum and Blue Grass Brewing Company (try the Bison Burger)...

Now for the room.... Clean, good air conditionning, updated furnitures, complimentary parking, internet and breakfast (don't have high expectations on this one)... Value is tough to beat... Highly recommended, loved Louisville...Go Cardinals!!!!
