“Never again”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

Had never stayed in an Econo Lodge...never will again. First, they had my reservation wrong. Second, the TV was messed up. Cable was all jarbled and couldn't see what was on most of the channels. Went to front desk to complain, was told very rudely "there's nothing I can do about it." We reserved a queen room, got a double bed that was as hard as a rock. I can handle everything but the rude service. The clerk at the front desk was RUDE and INCONSIDERATE of the customers' needs. It was like I was an inconvenience to her. Will never, ever, stay at an Econo Lodge again.

“Drywall missing behing wallpaper, mold, filthy hottub”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 February 2008

One night stay. Pool area filthy. Hottub water was yellow. Beside bed was a wall with wallpaper. Drywall behind it was disintigrated and moldy as if there had been a long time leak. Air Conditioning could not keep room cool.

Sent email to corporate and no response. This was not a typical Choice Hotels experience for us!

“UGH!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 February 2008

This property needs a major overhaul. The room had a funny, perfumey smell when I walked in and after awhile, I realized it was because my non smoking room had once been a smoking room. Memo to managers...that stink will never leave a smoking room! The room was shabby; stained bedspread and chair and the bathroom area was very tired. I ended up leaving at 6 AM; couldn't stand the smell any more after waking at 4:30 AM. I suggest Choice hotels remove their label from this property. What a disappointing stay!

“Not bad-cheap overnight stay w/coupon”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 September 2007

We took a trip to Gatlinburg this weekend and decided to stop and spend the night along the way since we left a day earlier than we originally planned. We stopped at a rest area and hubby picked up a coupon book while we were there. There was a coupon for 37.99. The hotel appeared to be new. It was clean and I have no complaints on the room other than it was a little small but not bad at all, especially for the price and it being a overnight stay. I did stumble upon a bottle of lotion that was behind the dust ruffle that was overlooked by the cleaning staff.

It has a nice enclosed pool and hot tub that is seperate from the actual hotel that is located in front of the hotel. It looked clean until I got in the hot tub and there was a black film on the sides of the hot tub and some on the steps leading into the hot tub. I am assuming that it is mold???? Overall, it was a decent place and I have no major complaints. They do serve a small "hot" breakfast which consisted of bisquits, sausage, glazed donuts, bagels,OJ, and coffee.

“Good accommodations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 July 2007

I stayed here and it was a good choice. The bathroom was small and only had a shower, but the furnishing and layout of the rooms was great.

Had dogs and requested a main floor (close to exit) room.

I would recommend this place and would stay there again.
