Was in town for a National Archery Tournament and traveling with my father who is my shooting/traveling partner. We travel around the U.S. shooting archery events and stay in alot of different motels. We normally go for something between $50-$75 but this Hampton Inn had good reviews on here so we went a few bucks higher ($78). For starters it was very nice speaking to someone that spoke ENGLISH while making the reservation. The lady who I spoke to on the phone was very nice and she even told me how many rooms were available instead of the normal "we may have just 1 left and may get you in for uhhh ummm (insert very large dollar amount)". Check in took all of about 45 seconds and the guy at check in was very friendly. He even switched us to a 1st floor room since it was available. Not only did he do that but he said they had a room which he thought the air was acting up in so he wanted to not fill it unless it was totally necessary. Oh yeh I almost forgot...upon entry to this motel lobby you feel like you should be paying double what you are. Very very clean!!! The breakfast area looked unusally large (more on that in a minute) and the desk clerk told me breakfast was from 6am to 10am. Upon entry into our room...smell was very clean and the beds were obviously made by a professional. The top comforter had some kind of fancy fluffed up waves in them that reminded me of a cruise I went once (very cool). the sheets smelled very clean and were stark white. air was on and room cooled perfectly. even had mints on top of the bedsheets for us. They have 3 different pillows on each bed (soft, medium and firm) and also a long narrow rolled pad like pillow for under your legs if you like that. The mattresses felt better than my own at home. Extra blankets in a bag on the shelf in sink area if needed. Iron that worked great. Even a shower head that wasnt specifically installed by a vertically challenged person (it didnt hit me in the chest like most do these days) I cannot stress how clean our room was! Ok back to breakfast. walked in at 630am to several folks already eating and couldnt believe this was a free breakfast. It was more like a Bob Evans that was free and buffet style. Sausage Patties. poached eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, muffins, cookies, krispy cream donuts, bagels, toast, cereal, white and chocolate milk, orange juice, apple juice, 3-4 different styles of coffee. The sausage gravy and bisuits with a poached egg was my choice and it tasted very very good. apple juice was very nice and cold and the krispy cream for the road hit the spot. There were 2-3 attendants filling food and drinks on the buffet the whole time we were there. Checkout was nothing more than a pleasure as well. Turned in our cards and the attendant asked for our room # and if everything was good. we already had our receipt from checking in so we were gone in 30 seconds. No doubt we will stay here for many years to come.
