Like many people writing other reviews, I decided to take a chance on Super 8 Georgetown because it was a decent price and previous reviews said it was a surprisingly good stay for the price.

My first impression upon arrival dealt with a note I had put online. When I reserved my room online, I was given the option to write a note about my arrival. I mentioned that I was bringing a bike with me, and asked if it was all right to take it in my room. When I arrived at the location and the gentleman at the front desk rung up my reservation (a tall, mustachioed man), he told me that he had reserved me in one of the two outdoor rooms available because of my bike. I was astonished. Now, don't get me wrong - if they had reserved me in an indoor room and let me bring my bike in, I would have been fine with that too, but the fact they went the extra mile for my comfort was extremely nice. I was also surprised when, upon check-out the next morning, the young lady at the front desk asked if they had taken care of my bike. Again, if she had never asked I wouldn't have given a negative review, but I appreciated that such concern was made over my special note.

My second impression came when I was coming back from dinner and realized I had stupidly locked myself out of my room (long story). I try to be a decent customer who can admit when he's the one being the idiot and not the business, and this was one of those times. I went to the gentleman at the front desk and apologized, saying he'd have to let me in. Despite the fact I was interrupting his brief break from the day, he was all smiles and didn't mind, and let me back in.

The location was also a surprising plus. There are fast food places nearby, one of them Chick-Fil-A, which is literally within walking distance (about one or two blocks). As soon as I was settled in I went out, got some dinner, and came back to my room. There are plenty of other restaurants down the road for those who don't mind walking a little longer, or maybe making a drive.

All in all, I had a pleasant experience. Like others, I have to say the service, location, cleanliness and price cannot be matched. I'd definitely stay here again if I was passing on through.

Our stay at Super 8 G'Town was as usual, excellent. We have stayed with them almost every time we have made our yearly trip from MI to SC, and each time we've experienced a great bed, flawless room and superlative service from their staff. The breakfast is more than ample and tasty, and our golden retriever also concurs!

This is one of the nicest Super 8's we have stayed in. It was very clean and had new beds. They offer breakfast in the morning whic has more than just bagels. We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.

This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. Had a great two night stay. Love the area will hopefully return.
