“Great hotel in Georgetown/ North Lexington/ Ky Horse Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

Here is a great place to stay if you are headed to this part of Kentucky. I HATE Lexington because of the traffic, and total lack of charm, so I always stay in Georgetown. It is less than 30 minutes from all the places I have to go, and quiet and comfortable. This hotel is nice, clean, new and well- kept. There are plenty of dining options in the area, and this hotel is far enough off the road to be fairly peaceful. On my recent 4 day stay, I found it to be an excellent place to stay.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have neat windows that give you light from two sides.

Thank you for the kind words about our establishment. Did you know that along with the variety of restaraunts in the area we also have Kems Restaraunt and Lounge located inside the hotel? Kem's offers a variety of options for breakfast and dinner. Stop in and give us a try on your next visit to the area.

“Red flag”

I made reservations before we went they told me the rate was $99 a night for two nights, when I got my bill they charged the second night $109.00. I ask about it and she told me that when you sign in it says on the paper that they can change the price. So be ware of hidden cost. As for the room it was nice but sometimes you have hot water in the shower and sometimes you don`t. I also said something to the front desk about it and she said they knew it so I guess they are`nt going to fix it. The staff is not very knowledgeable about the hotel. No free breakfast. The reason I gave it poor rating because they seem very deceptive. On pet cost first they say $50 per stay. On the web it says $75 and the front desk says $50 per pet per night, which is it. Also they charge $250 or so it you don`t tell them. Don`t trust a hotel that charges what they want after you get a price. Very scary We will not stay there again. No wonder people are buying campers, who wants to put up with all of this.

“It was alright”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

This hotel is very pretty. Everything looks so fresh and clean. Our beds were entirely too comfortable. So why the 3 stars? Well...our bathroom would not unlock so we had to be careful to leave it open when we were done. I was also surprised to find out that the breakfast was complimentary. We ended up in the restaurant one evening and it was terribly disorganized and the food wasn't very good especially considering the price.

“Car got broken into + Rude Management”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 June 2011

My car got broken into and the management/front desk personnel were very impolite and not willing to do anything to help the horrible situation that we had to undergo during our stay there. We picked this hotel assuming it was safe, and because I’ve had good experience with so many other Holiday Inns around the country. The management was very rude, and said ‘What’s your argument? This is not our problem!’. I’m a priority member for years, and by far this is the worst Holiday Inn experience ever. Our car was parked right in front of the main entrance and there was a security camera right above the car. But the Police told us the camera did not record anything (Hotel didn’t put tape in the security Camera). The thieves got away with electronics and other valuables in the car and it was a huge loss for us to fix the car and replace what was stolen. I was so upset to get a call at 7am only to find out that my car got broken into. I UNDERSTAND that it’s out of the hotel’s control to know when thieves brake into cars, but they were not TRUTHFUL enough to let the guests know that the security camera’s in front DON’T work. They did nothing to warn the guests. Everyone was under the impression that they worked and cars were under surveillance. To top that management argued with us when we were facing such a bad situation on their property, in front of their main entrance!! There were NO refunds, NO apologies, NO nothing from the hotel to better the situation. We were not the only ones; there were other cars that got broken into as well. And they didn’t do anything for anyone; one of those people was a platinum member. We left the hotel with a broken window, all our electronics and other valuables stolen, ruined vacation, and such a disappointment with the hotel management. I will never stay in this hotel again!!!

Room Tip: Don't Stay here if you want to be safe.

“Worst ever hotel, felt very unsafe”

We thought this hotel was in a really good location and booked this for a weekend stay. On Friday night my car was broken in to and laptop and other valuable stuff were taken, my car was packed exactly in front of the hotel and in front of a camera. They hotel claimed to say that the camera was not working and they couldn’t catch the thief’s. The police are still investigating as to what happened. Several other cars were broken in to that night as well. The Hotel didn’t even give me credit for the room, i had to spend over $1000 to repair the glass and put a new door in my car. This is by far my most horrible experience at a Holiday Inn, Please don’t stay at this hotel if you want a safe place to sleep at night.
