We had no heat in the room and the unit was pulled away from the wall allowing cold air to pour into the room. The front desk was closed by the time we found out. They have no night clerk! They provide a phone for emergencies but no one answers it.

AVOID THIS MOTEL! THEY MAKE NO COMPENSATION OR REFUND!

upon check in the desk clerk,made a copy of my drivers license,and credit card, and got defensive when i said un happy with that,saying it would be destroyed in a couple of days,just long enought to do damage i throught. to noisy at 1100 at night. il never stay at this place again and i go to florence at least three times a year.

Definately one of the worst places i've ever stayed. I'll say this, the room itself wasnt actually terrible. For a budget motel, it was in decent shape. The grounds of the place looked like a third world country, the pool was about 1 foot lower on water than it should have been and then the worst part.... the staff. Check in took about 15 minutes. There was general confusion and just a lack of interest in getting me checked in. Later the staff tried to kick us out of our room and went so far as to call the police. The police showed up to our room at midnight and treated us pretty fairly and let us stay in the room against the staff's wishes. I honestly cant see how this place stays in business, i guess its because the weekly, monthly rentals could be had so cheaply. Anyways, i cant say this about many places i go, but i would never, ever stay here again. Just couldnt do it.

The check in clerk didn't understand English. The room was a wreck. There was a half inch gap around the door, tub was filthy, furniture pure garbage. But the worst was that the bill was not for the reserved rate (through the KI website), and they tacked on a "renovation surcharge". It wasn't until I laughed at that fee and refused to pay that I was given the reserved rate as an adjustment. Breakfast was powder doughnuts, white bread and coffee.

This place doesn't need to be renovated, just tear it down and build a new hotel on its ashes.
