“Always helpful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 May 2010

We always stay at the Corbin KOA on our way to and from Myrtle Beach. It is VERY easy on and off 75. Our most recent trip was over spring break. We had paid in advance and never even actually saw the owners ( which btw they are very nice and helpful ) but they knew we were heading to Myrtle Beach and left a detailed map of a detour due to a rock slide that was hours away in N.C.

We have only stayed over night never for a long weekend but they have a nice pool area very clean restrooms and they are close to Cumberland Gap area for sight seeing. We will always chose them as our midway stopping point on the way to the coast.

“A pleasant experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 June 2009

We tent camped for two days at the KOA campground in Corbin,KY for the Memorial Day weekend. This KOA still retains its Presidential Award status and it lived up to it's status. The facility was clean, i.e. restrooms, showers, grounds and front office. For children in your group, the campground offered for two nights, outdoor late night children movies and a decent size swimming pool. The staff and owners were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. They even provided breakfast one morning to the campers. There was also a canine fenced in play area for those who were traveling with their dog.

The only drawbacks for us was that our tent location was on the east side and closest to interstate I-75. The late night truck traffic was not quite getting away from it all. Also we tried their hiking trail which was in bad shape and not maintained at all.

We were hiking and whitewater rafting in nearby Daniel Boone National Forest and looked at several campgrounds in the area but almost all of them were full and we eventually settled on this one. It was our first time camping at a KOA and I can say it was an overall pleasant experience.
