We stayed here for 6 nights while attending the Christmas Country Dance at Berea College. The room was clean and comfortable, location is 2 miles from the college, continental breakfast was adequate, and the hot tub was an added bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

I think this property may be undergoing a slow renovation. Smelled like carpet glue in the hallways and looked like newer carpet underfoot. Property is clean. Nothing special but decent for a goods night's sleep. Bed and linens were comfortable. Plenty of pillows.

At once time, Fairfield Inn was the premier place to stay in Berea. Sadly it has fallen behind in customer service, room quality, and breakfast variety. It's time to update the beds! The last time I stayed there, the bed was nothing more than a dense foam type mattress on a bedspring. It had been slept in many times, and you would eventually roll into the creases of the previous clients. The furnishings need to be updated - it's time for HD widescreen in the rooms, for example. Also, during my last stay, the kitchen ran out of food for breakfast on a Sunday morning one hour before closing.....the response "they just didn't order any". I don't know whether Marriott is not paying as much quality control to the Fairfield brand, or whether this particular property is just ignoring comfort. I highly recommend the hotel next door, Comfort Inn and Suites...they are the real deal. I hope that Fairfield gets their act together, or perhaps, it's time for Marriott to review whether they are capable of keeping the entire brand afloat. Sad to see such an elegant place to stay continually slide into oblivion.

This inn was updated a couple years ago and is pretty nice. They didn't do a complete remodel, however, so it's half way between great and okay. The rooms are nice enough and very clean. They have more cleaning staff than most Faifields and I think it shows in the cleanliness and upkeep.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is standard for a Fairfield, with the exception of a waffle maker. First Fairfield I've seen that didn't have one.

The towels are a bit on the thin side, but the sheets and the room were tip top.

I think this place has made a nice compromise between luxury and keeping the price reasonable. For my money, it's hard to beat the price. Right off I-75, but still plenty quiet for a great night's rest.
