This hotel is a recently converted Holliday Inn Express and I stayed here for 4 nights. The service was good and the grounds and common areas were clean. The room was small, but adequate. The bathroom was also clean, but a tragic choice of fo-marble in the shower made the walls look filthy and the light fixture above the sink was anything but covered professionally.
The complimentary breakfast was on par with many I've had. They took the time to give a different type of 'egg' each morning (from scrambled, to an omelet). I was afraid that the fact they were out of waffles mix the first day would mean no waffles for the rest of the week, but I was wrong. They had more mix the next day.
I didn't like all of the construction going on around the hotel. It made it difficult to get in depending on the direction you were heading. But, with a little circumnavigating, it was easy to figure out. Just a bit of a pain for now.
The pool had a common problem I've noticed with other 2 star hotels. They put so much chlorine in the pool that you can't see the bottom. After about a foot of visibility, the pool becomes a cloudy mess that is extremely uninviting.
My only real complaints have to be the couple of spiders I found in my room and the Folliculitis I caught from the carpet on top of my foot from walking barefoot in my room. Yep. The carpet was covered in a Staph virus and I got a Staph infection in a hair follicle on top of my foot. On the last night of my stay, I noticed a bump that looked like a mosquito bite on top of my foot. I thought nothing of it. When I got home after flying back, foot still itched. I took a look at it and the bump was now topped with a nasty look boil. Folliculitis. I'm treating it with a topical antibiotic and I've contacted the hotel asking them to somehow treat the room for future guests.
If you are looking for a deal, go here....but just don't take your socks off in your room.
