overall the motel was decent...for a cheap motel. As far as the stay I had to contact front desk a couple times to get the wifi to work. No receipt was offered and when I inquired I was told they can't give me a reciept.

Two months later I am still trying to collect my rewards from wyndham rewards. First Wyndham tells me the hotel can not find a record of my stay??? I have worked in a hotel, clients name, address, phone and drivers license are all input into the computer...shoddy business practice or incompetence? So I phone and speak with the General Manager, who tells me I didn't meet the minimum purchase. When I question the minimum purchase he YELLS at me and asks me if I am going to tell him how the program is run..at which point I hung up the phone. Wyndham verified that there is NO minimum purchase required to gain points.

What has happened to good customer service? Really, the General Manager felt the need to YELL at a customer. This may be appropriate in their country (not sure where they were from, but not American) however, you are in the USA now. Learn how to treat people properly. I have filed a fomal complaint with Super 8. And I can 100% guarantee that I will NEVER stay in the Super 8 at Russell, Kansas again. Maybe with this review they will find a record of my stay.

On a motorcycle trip from Orlando to Russell to visit a friend. First: The Indian lady at the front desk apparently hates her job, since she was extremely rude. Second, the same rude Indian lady called my room at 11:30!!! to have me move my motorcycle from the parking space in front of the satellite dishes!!! I had been asleep for an hour already! Third, they would not honor their internet-advertised price, and cost much more, even with a supposed AARP discount! Parking is limited also...And the continental breakfast was a joke! Coffee, a little cereal, and an english muffin...because one was all there was! Russell Inn is much better, cheaper, and much friendlier!

The steaff was friendly and helpful in every way possible. The room was clean and neat. No issues - and believe that I looked for anything and everything!

In 35 years have never had the experience of a hotel not providing a receipt. In order to collect expenses, need a receipt upon departure. The East Indian lady had not done a night audit, so asked me to come back later in the afternoon. I work for a living and would be 100 miles away that afternoon. The accomodations were average to below average. Price was $20 higher than it should have been. Might suggest staying in Hays or Salina. Have written the Russell Chamber of Commerce about this problem. They elected not to reply. The Chambers of Commerce need to work with these people to get their standards up.
