I booked this online using my Significant Organization discount which meant we got a pretty good deal on an accessible King Suite for four nights. I have rheumatoid arthritis and definitely need the accessible room. The room was quite nice but beastly hot and clearly not accessible. In fact, it had a jetted tub so tall that it would have been completely inaccessible to me. Plus, there was no fan in the bathroom which I found odd. Right away, we realized the air conditioner was broken, not cooling, and it had leaked all over the floor soaking the carpet in front and to the sides of the bed. Front desk clerk, Angie, I believe, apologized and said that they aren't accessible and doesn't know why they put that on the website. Great! She had another king suite available with a Jacuzzi tub (which I couldn't get in to) but at least the air worked and it had a shower I could use. So we moved rooms.
Room #2 also had no fan in the bathroom but, hallelujah, the air worked and we were in the middle of a horrible heat wave. The elevator on the other hand, was horribly hot, like a miniature oven. Something else to note is that the pool is so tiny you almost can't believe it. In fact, the sign on the wall says the max. occupancy for the pool /spa (whirlpool is a bricked off corner of the pool) is 8 - yes 8. If you are looking to hang out in the pool - this isn't the place.
Next morning, we talked to Fran at the front desk - I asked if there were any truly accessible suites available but the only handicapped room they had was a queen room. We were traveling alone without our kids and really wanted a King suite but I didn't want to pay more for a jacuzzi we weren't using. We pulled out the Travel Buddy to look for another hotel and she saw we had it and told us there was a coupon in there she could honor for the queen room. We looked at it and it was a very nice room. I asked her if she could just honor the lower price for room #2 so we didn't have to move again but she said no. So, move #3 ensued.
Room #3 was very nice and actually handicapped accessible for the most part. It was just disappointing to be in a regular queen room instead of being able to relax in a suite. The bed was nice though and I had a decent night's sleep. The room darkening shades are really nice in that regard.
There wasn't anything really wrong with the hotel - it's just a cheap, decent night's sleep. We would have moved hotels in a heartbeat if the girls at the front desk hadn't been so nice. They are really the reason we stayed on past the first day. You could tell they were trying to do what they could to help and they were just plain friendly.
The thing that really bothered us was that there are signs clearly stating that the front door is available only with a key card after 9pm. Every night we came in well after nine, more like the wee hours of the morning, and that was never the case. The door was always open. Plus, very odd for a hotel, none of the rooms we were in had fans in the bathroom. It would have been nice. Also, there was a major feral cat problem out in the parking lot - a little bit strange.
