Wow - I wish I had read these reviews before booking the trip. Although to be honest my kids enjoyed the trip - it was fairly miserable overall and an unbelievably poor value. The mattresses in the rooms are by far and away the worse I've ever seen. I've stayed at a lot of hotels in my life - but this was completely unbelievable. They really shake you down on everything under the sun. Kids enjoyed the magic quest -but it was ridiculously expensive. I get the feeling this hotel makes all of its money during 3 months out of the year. The big new slide they advertise -was not open and they really did not comp us very well as that was the big attraction. Most of the staff were nice - but in a very phoney way. We stayed two nights and ended up spending around $950 after the Map Quest deal and a few meals on the room. All in all - not a good value and without a doubt the worse mattresses you will ever find.

We rented three rooms for two nights. We had stayed in the same Lodge two years ago. However, this time the mattresses were so wore out they actually sagged in the middle. You get a good mattress even a discount hotel. Carpeting needs streached, cleaned and updated. For what you pay for the room it should be much more comfortable place to sleep. Children running upstairs could be heard and sounded like they could come through the floor. The 10:00 clock show did not happen. We waited around for it and then found out it was canceled due to a power outage the following night. But no sign had been placed on the clock. Disappointment for the kids. I found the water park itself to be very nice. The help was also very pleasant.

Beds are terrible!!!! Feel like they are 20 years old .. and well {over}used!! Televisions in rooms way outdated . .VCRs . .no \DVD players/no flatscreens. Carpets dirty, rooms smell. Water Park access via TWO small and SLOW elevators is absurd. For nearly $600 per night . . .way overpriced. Cost of other things for children . .especially the "wand" game . . .outrageous! Can't check in unitl well after 4pm . .MUST be out by 11AM . . . .

We had heard from other families that have gone, that Great Wolf Lodge was a fantastic water park and place to stay. We decided to go and check it out for ourselves. Was it worth going?....Probably. Will we go again?....Probably not.

By all descriptions, it seems like there is plenty of water adventure for the family, but after an hour it seems pretty dull. Granted it is geared towards kids, but honestly, how long can you spray yourself with a water valve? The slides were less than 30 second rides and the staff was inconsistent about the height guidelines for riding. (Very frustrating).

Our room was fine, it was clean and had plenty of room. The internet connection was not very good and the beds were poor.

The location was a plus. Restraunts were close by and Legends was great shopping.

Overall: Overrated and overpriced for what we received. Also, a lot of things that are advertised as complimentary are hidden in the "resort fee".
