Was traveling to Kansas City for a one night stay on January 18th. I originally had no intention of finding a room, but became very tired after the 10 hour drive from Ohio. Since the business I would be attending to was downtown, I looked up Hilton properties in the downtown area.

If staying in the downtown KC area, I think this hotel can't be beat. You're just west of all the lights and entertainment of downtown KC, MO. You're not right in the middle of the Power and Light District so you don't have to worry about getting a crazy crowd walking past your hotel at night.

I didn't try the restaurant out but it looked like a lovely setting. Smelled great in the morning and around lunch time. Business center was clean, stocked, and fast. Staff was quick and friendly. Parking is free. Didn't see any bell-carts, and they did have a security guard in the lobby in the evening.

I stay here on a regular basis. Staff is always warm and inviting, in-house restaurant is decent for either breakfast or dinner. Parking garage makes the stay a little nicer keeping the vehicle out of the elements.
I will be back as always.

This was an excellent no frills hotel. Set your expectations correctly and be aware of the few caveats and you will have an excellent stay. On the pro side, the hotel was very clean overall, had better food than similar hotels, was easily accessible from the freeway and had covered parking. On the con side, it is close to a more run-down downtown of Kansas City, KS and has no restaurants in walking distance. If you are fine with driving 5 minutes to downtown Kansas City, MO, you should have a good stay here.

Nice hotel, but in a weird location. Appeared to be a downtown location with nothing around it. You would need to go to Kansas City, MO, to find something to eat, etc. It was nice enough, but I will not stay there again. I had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant and it was okay. It is about 20 minutes from Kansas Speedway, depending on traffic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is not concerned with having things to do around the hotel. Overall, not a good review or a bad one; just mediocre given the geographic location. Room was nice, etc, but just not for me.
