We selected this hotel based on price and after reading some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant about staying here. However, much to my pleasant surprise, our stay was wonderful. The room was bright and airy, the linen clean and changed as often as we wanted. The hallway decor is pretty basic but who picks a hotel based on the hallways? As for the surrounding area, we checked out The Brown Bottle, Doughy Joey's Chicago Style Pizza, and the in-house place The Red River. Yes, there are two "gentlemen's clubs" nearby but no one forced us to go there. We found the neighborhood quite safe,
The only glitch came when I was ready to check-in online for our flight back and discovered there was no business center to print the boarding passes. I found this to be a bit odd for a hotel physically connected to a convention center.
In summery, if you are looking for a 5-star hotel, this isn't it. If you are looking for a good hotel and a great staff at a reasonable price, check this one out.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at! I pricelined a 2 1/2 star hotel and ended up with this dump. Worst decision ever! The service was horrid; the front desk women were unfriendly and truly disgusted to be bothered by customers. The worst part were the guests and the level of early AM drunken behavior unchecked by staff after multiple complaints. People running up and down the halls, pounding on the walls, laughing the entire time. The shower was nasty/dirty as well as the bed. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here.
We checked in very late and the front end cleark was very friendly. Beds were nice but the room seemed a bit dated. We for a great price on the room so I can't complain too much but the bathroom was a bit dirty. Nice stay for the price.
Last week (Sept 21-25th), my wife and I attended my ships (USS The Sullivans) reunion at the Ramada Inn Waterloo Convention Center.
I was very impressed with the friendly, courteous, professional and attentive service by Ramada employee's Amber, Brenda, Shameka and Randeigh.
They were very helpful and wonderful, and Ramada is very forunate to have them as representatives of their hotel.
