My family visited Grinnell for a little pheasant hunting this October. We made our reservations last minute but got a very nice room. The accommodations were well kept and clean. What really made our stay was the helpful staff - both at the front desk and in the breakfast room. Everyone was very friendly.

Just off the interstate with a great steakhouse and gas station close by. Room was nice and clean if not fancy. My wife and I were not looking for fancy and this place was a pleasant surprise. Beds were good and the breakfast was very nice.

I arrived later in the evening. Front desk staff was friendly. They have a pool, but I did not get to use it.

The internet worked great. The only thing I did not like was the huge spider I threw a shoe at. I know that happens, but then the next morning I saw another bug in the bathroom. By all means, they are a clean hotel and I know these things happen at times, so I can not really rate them down because they were very clean. There was a king size bed that was very comfy and a great flat screen tv. There was a couch in there with a nice desk. I did not get a chance to try out the shower though. There breakfast was great. I am not sure about the person who complained about the breakfast. Maybe it was just a bad day. They had waffles, OJ, bagels, cereal, sausage, eggs and it was enjoyable.

The entrance was very nice with a couch and a fireplace.

This hotel was clean, the breakfast was good, and everything worked as it should. There was even a nice steakhouse and a gas station next door so we didn't have to travel into a town to eat or get gas. The pillows could've been a bit fluffier. The bed, otherwise, was very comfortable. The walls must be a bit thin because I could hear noise from another room one night.
