Stayed here over Thanksgiving while visiting family. Room was clean and comfortable for great price of $59/night at Hotels.com. Our room was an interior room with window overlooking interior conference area which was unused. Airline crews were staying at the hotel and seemed to receive the same rooms as us - so I guess for $59 you get the "cheap" rooms. Bed was comfortable. Housekeeping did not leave us enough towels even for 2 guests. Did not vacuum carpets during our 3-night stay. Free parking, free wifi internet and free breakfast at the Bennigans next door - connected by a interior hallway - needed in Iowa in the wintertime!!! Our keys did not work on the 2nd day, had to go back to the desk and have them re-programed. Free breakfast was sitting out in restaurant "warming trays", which had been sitting too long. Cold scrambled eggs, pancakes and sausage. Also had breads, english muffins, and bagels with a self-serve toaster. Not a great breakfast, but again, what do you expect for the price. Had a self-serve automated coffee maker in the lobby, but it seemed to always be out of coffee. Best thing was an employee named Joe who seemd to be working alot as a waiter at breakfast and also around the front desk. He brought us glass wineglasses to our room and silverware for a food delivery we received without silverware. Joe was friendly and hard-working!!!

This is an older motel right near the airport and within driving distance of some nice restaurants (and fast food, drug store gas stations, grocery store. The rooms have been redecorated as have the common areas. The rooms were unusually quiet-must have been built before sound proofing went out to save on construction costs. A refrigerator and microwave were provided. The bathroom had granite counters and a new tub/shower unit. There is a Bennigans sports grill attached. This is where a hot breakfast is offered including eggs, meat, juices, rolls, etc. Very nice. Parking is convenient to the various entries. Staff was very helpful as my reservation was confused between award points and self pay. It took a few times, but everyone finally got on the same page.The motel allows dogs and there is more than adequate grass for walking a pet. A number of airline staff appear to stay at this motel, so it must be consistenti n service/quality. The front lobby has a fireplace, business station, and someone had decorated for the holidays.

I stay over one night after flying in to the Des Moines airport. The rooms very very clean the hotel was very quite. I actually was able to sleep in. I figured that probably would not happen since it was close to the airport.

I work at a hotel that recently switched over to a Best Western so I was interested in seeing what this hotel was like. Overall I was very impressed! The beds were extremely comfortable, all of the staff members were very friendly, and the hotel was clean! I have family who live in the Des Moines area so we will be returning and staying there. :)
